JAKE E. LEE says, “Police found 15 bullet casings at the scene where he was shot.”

Jake E Lee has offered an update on his health two days after he was shot in Las Vegas.

The 67-year-old former OZZY OSBOURNE The guitarist was shot three times early Tuesday, Oct. 15, in a shooting about 10 miles from the Las Vegas Strip. He was later taken to a hospital's intensive care unit, where he is fully conscious and “doing well.” lee's representative confirmed this in a statement, adding that he is expected to make a full recovery.

“Let’s see: I really appreciate all the concerns and good wishes. This makes everything run a little better.”

“To clarify, I was shot three times. I was on my way home after walking my dog Coco (I didn't give it a name, so please don't!). I don't want to go into details, I'm tired, but I feel relatively happy. Police found 15 bullet casings at the scene, meaning he fired his magazine at me. I could only dodge so many that one bullet went through my forearm, one through my foot and one into the back, breaking a rib and damaging a lung. The priority now is to empty my lungs until she stops crying. Then we can pull the tube out and focus on the smaller injuries.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, lee was in his driveway about 2:40 a.m. about to walk his dog when he was shot in the forearm; in the back, with the bullet breaking a rib; and in the foot. None of the shots hit a vital organ. A neighbor heard the shots, hid his children, grabbed a gun and called 911. leeThe dog remained uninjured.

leeManagement said in a statement that police believe the shooting was “completely accidental and occurred.” lee went for a walk with his dog in the early hours of the morning.

“No further comments will be made. lee and his family appreciate respecting their privacy during this time,” his management said.

The Las Vegas Police later released a statement saying, “Officers responded to a shooting incident in the 11000 block of Alora Street. Officers arrived and located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The man was taken to hospital. No arrests have been made.” This is currently an ongoing investigation.

After the performance with Ozzy, lee founded the hard rock band WASTELAND. He released the solo albums “Retraced” And “Guitar Warrior” 2005 and 2007 respectively. After a self-imposed exile from the music industry and the public, lee returned with a new band called RED DRAGON CARTELreleased a self-titled album in 2013, followed by “Patina” in 2018.
