Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Lions score thrilling TDs against the Vikings

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – After trailing 10-0, running back Jahmyr Gibbs gave the Detroit Lions a much-needed boost with a 45-yard rushing touchdown, the longest of his career.

He exploded down the field after clearing Vikings safety Camryn Bynum on a cutback to find the end zone behind a goal-line block by receiver Jameson Williams.

Gibbs' touchdown came in the series after his backfield mate David Montgomery was helped off the field with a knee injury, although Montgomery returned soon after.

Detroit's offense continued to gain momentum when All-Pro receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown broke free up the middle for a 35-yard receiving touchdown from Jared Goff, giving the Lions a lead of 10 with 8:39 left in the second quarter 14:10 provided .

It was St. Brown's fourth straight game with a touchdown, tied for the second-longest streak of his career.

With these explosive plays, the Lions scored multiple 30-yard touchdowns in a quarter for the first time since Sept. 14, 2008 against Green Bay, according to ESPN Research.
