Amazon MGM Studios is developing a new “Jack Ryan” feature film as the next stage in the development of the Tom Clancy franchise, starring John Krasinski.

Wendell Pierce, who starred in the series alongside Krasinski, will also star, while Michael Kelly is in negotiations to reprise his role in the series.

Andrew Bernstein, who served as executive producer and director on the show's second season, is directing the film from a script written by Aaron Rabin, who served as co-executive producer and writer on the show's fourth season.

John Krasinski and Allyson Seeger produce on Sunday Night. Andrew Form also produces. The film is produced in collaboration with Paramount Pictures and Skydance. Skydance's David Ellison and Dana Goldberg will serve as executive producers alongside John Kelly and Carlton Cuse.

The film will be an extension of the original series “Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan” from Amazon MGM Studios, Paramount Television and Skydance. In the four seasons released, the series is one of Prime Video's three most-watched series worldwide.

Most recently, Krasinski wrote, directed, produced and starred in the film “IF” for Paramount Pictures. He previously co-wrote, directed and starred in Paramount's Oscar-nominated film “A Quiet Place” and, following the success of the first film, returned to write and direct the sequel “A Quiet Place: Part II.” He produced the third installment in the series, “A Quiet Place: Day One,” this year.

Krasinski is repped by WME and Schreck Rose. Pierce is represented by Paradigm Talent Agency and Frankfurt Kurnit. Kelly is repped by WME, Liebman Entertainment and Schreck Rose. Bernstein is repped by CAA, Industry Entertainment Partners and McKuin Frankel Whitehead. Rabin is repped by Untitled, CAA and Gendler Kelly.
