Islanders end their first trip in St. Louis

2 minutes, 3 seconds Read

The New York Islanders wrap up their first road trip of the season with another repeat of the Dominik Bowl, while one of his favorite teams visits another, the St. Louis Blues. The Isles are 1-1-1 and are coming off their first win over a good but struggling and shaky Colorado Avalanche team. For Scott Mayfield, he travels from his college town to his hometown.

Meanwhile, the Blues just lost their home opener against the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday and, to add insult to injury, conceded a goalie goal to Filip Gustavsson. This seems like a winnable game, but St. Louis has periods where they control the game. However, they are only routes; Sometimes they give in. The Islanders have generally been better at controlling the game under Patrick Roy, so perhaps that's an advantage for the Islanders.

FIGs come here.
