Bekah Hinkle says it took her about 90 minutes to paint a portrait of Taylor Swift. It's a rendition of the “Midnights” cover, which features Swift moodily flicking a lighter in front of her downcast eyes.

The screen? A fingernail.

Hinkle is the owner and sole employee of Magick Manis. She's known among Indy's polish lovers for her intricate freehand manicures, and last week she created what's estimated to be her 11th set of Swift-style nails since the Eras Tour began last year.

Her client, Abbey Shultz, is preparing to attend the first of Swift's three concerts in Indianapolis on Friday. Each of your nails will be unique. She created a Pinterest board that Hinkle can use as a starting point, although Hinkle prefers to find inspiration as she works.

“If you don’t have a plan, you can’t mess it up,” Hinkle said.

Shultz trusts Hinkle's artistic vision. She comes in about once a month for a manicure and explains that with eccentric nail art she can have a creative fashion business and dress professionally at the same time.

She is one of many concertgoers preparing for a special performance. Social media is full of stunning tutorials, friendship bracelet inspiration, and makeup ideas.

The Eras Tour is a special occasion for Swift fans and they dress accordingly.

Even the city itself underwent a makeover: Swift's image on the side of the 34-story JW Marriott building towers over downtown, and 32 downtown streets were given temporary new names ahead of Swift's visit.
