With the score at 1-1 at half-time, Arsenal were on their way out of the Champions League, and yet they put in an impressive second-half performance – one of the club's best ever in Europe.

“I remember the first half was pretty even, but in the second half Henry, (Robert) Pires, Edu and co. shot towards our corner and sent us into ecstasy!” added Guy Wisemen, who was also at the game was present.

Arsenal took the lead back within five minutes of the restart when Henry cut inside and found Freddie Ljungberg, who fired into the bottom corner.

Then it was a case of Gunners dominance as they looked for a third and a two-goal cushion and that finally came about in the 85th minute with a great shot from Henry.

The Frenchman collected the ball from his own half, stormed into the penalty area, beat Javier Zanetti with a trick and then fired it into the bottom corner.

In the Inter section, Richard had already been kicked out for celebrating Ljungberg's goal, while Kelvin “freaked out” over Henry's goal but managed to stick around by “speaking a little Italian”.

Three minutes later, Arsenal grabbed another goal when Henry's cross in the middle went past Ljungberg but fell kindly to Edu, who passed into the open net.

Chaos, confusion and delirium for Arsenal fans.

A minute later the brawl was over when Jeremie Aliadiere, a late substitute, passed the ball to number five Robert Pires.
