Here's how to vote on Election Day in Prince George's County

Maryland voters will head to the Nov. 5 general election in a week, with key state and federal races taking center stage.

Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will face off in the presidential race. At the state level, Prince George's County Executive Angela Alsobrooks (D-Md.) and former Gov. Larry Hogan (R-Md.) are engaged in an important race for Maryland's open U.S. Senate seat.

This will allow Prince Georgians to vote in person on Election Day.

Register to vote

If you are not registered to vote, you must register on Election Day or during early voting.

Voters can register in person on Election Day or during early voting October 24-31. Voters may present one of the following documents: a current and valid photo ID; a copy of a bank statement, paycheck, utility bill, or government check for registration. You may also provide another government document listing a voter's name and address that is no older than three months after Election Day.

Where can you vote?

To receive the correct ballot for your legislative district, you must vote at your assigned polling place based on your home address. You can find your assigned polling station and voting district here.

There are 240 polling locations in Prince George's County, including two near the University of Maryland campus, Stamp Student Union and College Park City Hall.

Other polling locations in College Park include Hollywood Elementary School, College Park United Methodist Church, College Park Church of the Nazarene and Paint Branch Elementary School.

Polling stations are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m

What to expect on election day

If you have already voted or provided ID when registering, you will not need to provide ID to vote on Election Day.

If you are voting for the first time and have submitted your voter registration by mail, you may be asked to provide one of the following documents: a current and valid photo ID, a copy of a bank statement, a paycheck, a utility bill, a government check, or other government document, that contains your name and address and is dated within three months of Election Day.
