Headline: Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, Chappell Roan

Primavera Sound has tapped summer's most important pop girls – Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX and Chappell Roan – to headline the 2025 edition.

The Barcelona-based music festival unveiled its lineup on Thursday, which also includes LCD Soundsystem, FKA Twigs, Beabadoobee, Beach House, Clairo, Denzel Curry, Floating Points, Fontaines DC, Haim, Idles, Jamie XX, MJ Lenderman, Michael Bibi, Parcels, Paul Kalkbrenner, Sturgill Simpson, Stereolab, Spiritualized, Turnstile, TV im Radio, Wet Leg and more.

Aside from the rare performance of three female headliners, the rest of Primavera Sound's 147-strong lineup also features gender-balanced representation, which has been a festival staple since 2019. In a press release, Primavera called the triple threat of Carpenter, Charli and Roan “an undeniable milestone that cements their status as the new faces of pop on a global scale, each with their own distinctive features.”

“Charli XCX will perform at the festival for the second year in a row, powered by the unstoppable 'Brat' phenomenon; the unique Chappell Roan, with its film-like story, will wear its glittering Midwestern princess crown; “Sabrina Carpenter, the American dream pop singer, will present the endless charm of 'Short n' Sweet,'” the press release continues. “If Primavera Sound has always aimed to be the musical reflection of its time and place, the presence of these three artists at the festival is undoubtedly a goal achieved. A photo to remember. Something to celebrate.”

Additionally, the press release states that LCD Soundsystem will perform at Primavera with a new album under their belt. “Almost twenty years after giving the world this dance-rock ode to friendship, the influential band led by James Murphy will return to the festival (and with a new album!) to make it clear that they are a is an integral part of Our best memories, their time is always now,” says the press release.

LCD Soundsystem hasn't released an album in seven years, American Dream was released in 2017. After completing an international tour earlier this year, they announced residencies at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall and the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, starting April 17 . October 31. Last month, the group announced plans for a residency at the Knockdown Center in New York, with 12 shows taking place throughout November and December.
