Halo 2's multiplayer mode is officially returning and fans are losing it

Those were the days!

Halo 2The legendary Xbox game that also had one of the best multiplayer modes of all time has returned and fans are losing it.

Halo: Combat Evolved was launched in 2001 and it was the game that put Microsoft's debut console on the map. With a legendary campaign as Master Chief and multiplayer modes that have brought fond memories to millions of players, it's no wonder this game is considered an all-time classic.

As for the multiplayer mode, halo: Combat Evolved was incredible, but at the time of release the Xbox console wasn't playable online. When, however Halo 2 By 2004, online multiplayer was already in full swing and for many, this was their first soirée, competing with others around the world.

We may not have realized it at the time, but Halo 2 Online multiplayer was truly something special and can perhaps be considered one of the console pioneers of what we take for granted today.

Over 20 years have passed since it was founded Halo 2and while the latest entry, Halo Infinite isn't considered the most popular game, but its creative Forge mode is a great tool for bringing some of the old school into this modern era.

Halo Infinite is now available for PC and Xbox Series X/S. The multiplayer is free to play for everyone.
