GloRilla sparks debate over baby bump Instagram post: “She's trolling for Halloween”

GloRilla has sparked debate among fans after posting pictures of her cradling her baby bump on Instagram.

On October 23, the 25-year-old rapper, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, posted pictures of herself posing in a cream-colored jumpsuit with her hands resting on her bloated stomach. With no caption, fans wondered if GloRilla's post was a joke or a subtle way to announce that she was pregnant.

Many of her followers jumped into the comments to question the legitimacy of her alleged pregnancy, while others laughed at what they thought was a Halloween joke.

“She's trolling for Halloween (season),” one person said.

Another added: “Lmaooo you play too much hh,” while a third said: “It took me 9 months to look like you literally grow up in two days.”

Among the few people who congratulated her, a fan debunked the “pregnancy announcement” and argued that GloRilla was not pregnant at her Oct. 12 concert. They wrote, “Girl you weren't pregnant at homecoming in Huntsville, Alabama last week, don't play with me sis lol.”

“That was GloRilla not even two weeks ago,” one person shared on GloRilla accompanied the music icon on her eponymous show on October 12th.

“If this wasn't two weeks ago you might have caught me,” a second fan added with a video of GloRilla on stage.

The Memphis-born hip-hop artist just released her debut studio album. Splendidon October 11, featuring collaborations with Megan Thee Stallion, Kirk Franklin, T-Pain and more.

The Independent has reached out to GloRilla's representative for comment.

The artist's 15-song album comes after her two hits “Tomorrow” and “FNF (Let's Go)” exploded and earned her her first Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance in 2023. However, in the months that followed, enthusiasm for GloRilla waned.

“Every time I put out a song, they weren’t really feeling it,” she said The Associated Press. “I lost a little confidence.”

GloRilla continued to work on her sound and fine-tune her direction and rhythm to complete her first studio project. “That’s why I didn’t give up. … I saw it as motivation,” she said.
