The Black Stars of Ghana lost 2-0 to Sudan in the second leg of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on October 15, 2024 in Libya.

The Black Stars were far from at their best as they struggled to string passes together and push forward to threaten the Sudanese defence.

Mohammed Kudus, Antoine Semenyo, Inaki Williams and their teammates struggled to find their best form as they failed to create chances and pose a threat to the Sudanese as they did in the first game at the Accra Sports Stadium .

Ahmed Hamed Mahmoud Mohammed and Yousif Yagoub scored the two goals that helped Sudan beat the Black Stars.

The Sudanese team, led by Ghanaian James Kwasi Appiah, dominated the game and created good chances that led to a deserved victory.

After four games played, Ghana is third in Group F with two points, Sudan is second with seven points, while Angola is in the lead with nine points and awaits its fourth game.

Before this game, Ghana played a draw against Niger, lost at home to Angola by one goal to nil and played a goalless draw at home against Sudan.

The Black Stars will travel to Angola and play their final game against Niger in Ghana.

The team's chances of qualifying have become slim and a defeat in either of the next two games would likely jeopardize the team's chances of qualifying for the AFCON 2025 in Morocco.
