The Toronto Raptors' third preseason game takes place tonight against the defending champion Celtics in Boston.

The Dinos enter tonight's game after a 113-95 loss to the Washington Wizards at Capital One Arena. Toronto started well, starting the game with an 11-2 run and ending the first quarter with a 25-18 lead. As the game progressed, however, Toronto slowed down and remained superior with a score of 95:70, mainly because they were unable to score from deep (7:33 (21.2%)).

The Raptors will look forward to a more even evening against the defending champions.

At the top is the face of the franchise: Scottie Barnes. The former fourth overall pick returned to action on Friday after more than seven months out, posting 16 points, eight rebounds, two steals and one assist in just 20 minutes.

The West Palm Beach, Florida native began to burn as the 23-year-old got into the lane on the Raptors' first three drives and finished with a physical layup, fending off a mid-range pull-up before spotting a streak from Jakob Poeltl in the middle of the floor for easy lay.

While RJ Barrett (shoulder), Bruce Brown Jr. (knee), Immanuel Quickley (thumb) and Ja'Kobe Walter (shoulder) are still out, alongside Barnes, Chris Boucher is a player who has made a name for himself so far in preseason .

The Montreal, Que. Native is averaging 17.5 points and 6.5 rebounds this preseason while shooting 66.6 percent from distance (6 of 9) in just 18 minutes per game. His energy, length and long-range shots were on full display in an injury-plagued squad.

For Boston, they are playing two games in a row after defeating the Philadelphia 76ers 139-89 last night and are yet to lose this preseason, boasting a perfect 3-0 record.

Jaylen Brown led the C's with 18 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Jayson Tatum wasn't far behind with 16 points, ten rebounds and six assists.

It is unclear whether the big guns will be ready for action on the second night of a meeting, as Al Horford was not dressed on the first night.

The Celtics also include former Raptor Ron Harper Jr., who played just one minute in Boston's first three games.
