Good morning and happy Monday!

Hot Coffee Forecast.png

Cooler air has moved into the region in recent days and is expected to remain there. As you head out the door, morning lows will be in the low 40s, so you may want a small to medium hot coffee or cider to keep you warm and toasty.

I give everyone a C for cool this morning while you get the kids on the buses. Additional layers and/or a jacket are recommended for this morning. You won't need it in the afternoon as temperatures climb up to 61 degrees and it's a pleasant day with mostly sunny conditions.

AM Today.png

Tonight we cool down to the low 40s for another cool night. It will be a great night for stargazing as we will find mostly clear conditions. The coldest air is yet to come…

Low temperatures in the next 8 days.png

Get out the winter coats. It's that time of year again when we get our morning lows into the low 30s. If you haven't already, now is a good time to go through your winter clothes, pull out that winter jacket, and hang it back up as a staple in your closet. Frost is expected Wednesday morning, with a light frost possible for some of us here in central MO. Rural areas, northwest Missouri and parts of the Ozarks are most at risk of a freeze. This will be the coolest weather this week as the warm-up begins on Thursday.

8 days AM.png

Looking ahead, high pressure will move in from the west starting Thursday. Temperatures will slowly climb back into the upper 70s by Friday and stay in the low 70s through the weekend. Despite the cooler weather, plenty of sunshine is forecast for this week. Tomorrow will be mostly sunny before plenty of sunshine through Friday. Enjoy the cooler weather and hope temperatures stay slightly above average into next week.
