  • UMBRELLA REQUIRED: Showers and a storm or two until midday

  • OPPORTUNITIES UNTIL FRIDAY: Rain chances will continue through Friday evening before a front moves through

  • GREAT WEEKEND: Nice weather takes over the weekend

FORECAST

Good morning! We are seeing a surge of moisture coming from the Gulf of Mexico. As humidity has increased, temperatures have also increased. At this time it is around 20 degrees warmer than yesterday. The humidity also contributes to the formation of fog and drizzle. This could lead to a damp morning on the way to work for some. We will also see showers and a storm or two from midday through early afternoon. Be prepared to dodge some rain. Otherwise it will be mostly cloudy and warm.

There is also a chance of rain on Friday as a front moves in from the west. Storms will be possible again, with the threat of one or two strong storms. The front is expected to move through in the evening hours, with lingering clouds into Saturday morning.

The weekend should be nice as the sky is clear. We will also experience pleasant weather for the most part next week as the weather situation calms down. As for Hurricane Raphael, while it is expected to reach the western Gulf of Mexico, it is expected to break up and head either south or well north of Texas. In other words: it will have no impact on us. I wish you a wonderful day!
