Five Iowa Hawkeyes are listed on Iowa's availability report for game day against Wisconsin

Just before game day, the Hawkeyes released their updated availability report with a few more notable names.

Defensive back John Nestor, wide receiver Reece Vander Zee, tight end Addison Ostrenga and quarterbacks Marco Lainez and Cade McNamara are all listed.

Tight end Luke Lachey is also considered questionable, although Hawk Central's Chad Leistikow reported Lachey will not play against Wisconsin.

Lachey's listing is due to a lingering quadriceps injury he suffered against Northwestern last week. If Lachey is unable to play, Zach Ortwerth is expected to start at tight end. Tight ends Johnny Pascuzzi, Andrew Lentsch and Hayden Large are also expected to provide depth.

Lainez was expected to be the backup quarterback behind Brendan Sullivan, but a broken left thumb he suffered in practice Monday has all but ended his availability for the regular season. Since his thumb surgery was successful, there is still a chance for Lainez to return to the bowl game, per Leistikow.

With Lainez out for the regular season, the Hawkeyes will call on Colorado State's Jackson Stratton as a backup today. Stratton transferred to Iowa via the transfer portal this offseason after spending one season in Fort Collins, Colorado.

The matchup with the Wisconsin Badgers begins at 6:30 p.m. CT at Kinnick Stadium and will air on NBC and Peacock. Noah Eagle and Todd Blackledge will headline the primetime show for the 98th all-time meeting between the two historic programs.
