FACTS AND STATISTICS: Verstappen breaks Schumacher's record for longest time leading the championship

• Esteban Ocon took P2 for Alpine. It is the first time he has finished on the same step of the podium more than once (previously he finished first, second and third once each).

• Alpine had yet to complete a top-five lap of a Grand Prix this season.

• Ocon had scored just five points so far this season, his lowest total in 20 races of his F1 career.

• Teammate Pierre Gasly took third place in his 150th Grand Prix start.

• Gasly had never been on the podium twice at the same venue before (he was second at Interlagos in 2019).

• The last time two French riders were on the podium was Spain 1997, with Olivier Panis in P2 and Jean Alesi in P3.

• Today was the first time that the Alpine brand had two cars on the podium in Formula 1.

• The last time the Enstone team had two drivers on the podium was Korea 2013, when it was still known as Lotus, with Kimi Raikkonen in P2 and Romain Grosjean in P3.

• Alpine jumped from ninth to sixth in the constructors' championship today after never finishing higher than seventh throughout the 2024 season.

• George Russell finished fourth for Mercedes after leading the race before the red flag.

• Russell finished in the top six in both the Sprint and Grand Prix this weekend.

• It was Russell's 18th Grand Prix points finish of the year, although only his third podium.

• Ferrari's Charles Leclerc finished fifth – he has never been on the podium at Interlagos.

• Neither Ferrari made it onto the podium here, having both been on the podium at the previous two races in the USA and Mexico.
