Dwyane Wade's “Statue” sneakers release this Saturday

Basketball Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade received his well-deserved flowers for his remarkable career. The Miami Heat legend was honored Sunday with a statue that somehow looked like him to commemorate the best player in the team's history.

Continuing his winning ways, Wade has teamed up with KICKS CREW for the launch of the Li-Ning Way of Wade 11 “Statue” colorway.

The Li-Ning Way of Wade 11 “Statue” is the latest edition to Wade’s signature footwear collection, featuring a design in honor of his new statue reveal that is an ode to his iconic “This is my house!” Buzzer beater from 2009.

The silhouette features a white base with metallic gold accents and Wade's NBA achievements are incorporated into the shoe. The shoes have a premium leather upper that provides stability, firm support and durability. The midsole EVA frame provides stability for precise lateral movements.

Additionally, the Carbon Core Drive System, Boom cushioning and TPU heel counter serve as a canvas showcasing special moments from Wade's remarkable career. Finally, the GCU outsole with its molecular rubber structure is designed for excellent grip.

The Li-Ning Way of Wade 11 “Statue” releases on November 2, 2024. Online shoppers can purchase the sneakers at KICKSCREW.COM and wayofwade.com for $225 in adult sizes. In addition, fans can register on the Way of Wade 11 event page to also take part in the raffle.

A native of Chicago, Wade is widely considered one of the greatest shooting guards in NBA history. In his 16-year career, Wade won three NBA championships, was an NBA All-Star 13 times, was a member of the All-NBA Team eight times, and was a member of the All-Defensive Team three times.

In the storied history of the Miami Heat franchise, Wade is the all-time leader in points, games played, assists, steals and field goals made. The Basketball Hall of Famer was equally influential in the shoe world.

After stints at Converse and Jordan Brand, Wade signed with Chinese sportswear brand Li-Ning in 2018 for $10 million. After a hugely successful few years, Wade signed a lifetime sneaker deal with Li-Ning in 2018. The two eventually launched the Way of Wade brand, which began signing current NBA players.
