Duchene and Seguin each had 3 points to help the Stars move past the Bruins

Seguin made it 4-1 with the Stars' third straight power play goal at 8:59. He hit Swayman with a wrist shot after he was left open with plenty of room on the right side.

Brazeau cut it to 4-2 at 10:41 and finished off Trent Frederic's turnaround attempt for his own power play goal.

“Usually when everyone plays right, everyone enjoys the success and benefits from it,” Bruins captain Brad Marchand said. “We somehow made it, and it will come. But we as leaders and older people have to do better and we have to set the pace and lead by example.”

The Bruins outscored the Stars 10-7 in the third period, but Roope Hintz scored an unanswered goal for Dallas at 17:58 to make the final score 5-2.

“When you're trying to stay ahead, it's difficult because the other team is bringing everything they've got,” DeSmith said. “Not that we sat back, but we played a little more cautiously and calculatedly. So I just thought they got a little desperate and got it done in the third period.”
