Donald Trump will hold a campaign rally at Cherry Capital Airport

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) — Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will host a campaign rally in Traverse City on Friday.

The former president will deliver his speech at Cherry Capital Airport beginning at 7:30 p.m

Doors open for the event at 3:30 p.m

The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office said it expects “significant delays” for motorists on Parsons Road and is encouraging people to “avoid this area if possible.” Multiple officers will be on scene to assist with traffic.

“All shops on Airport Access Road will be open. General parking is prohibited,” the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post. “Vehicles are permitted to enter if agreed in advance with event staff and on the media and VIP list.”

“All parking for the event is located outside of the Cherryland Center at 1148 W South Airport Rd. Additional parking may be added at a later date,” the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office also said shuttle buses will be available for the event.

Trump previously held a campaign rally in Traverse City on November 2, 2020.

On Saturday, Trump will do it make comments at an event center in Novi, Michigan.
