    Another big punt return sets up the touchdown from Montgomery to LaPorta, giving the Lions a 35-14 lead

    Gibbs makes it for only the third time that day, going nine yards out on first down and then getting two yards out to move the chains. Gibbs gets his third straight carry for seven yards, then gets another carry but is tackled by Hooker to no avail. Now it's third-and-3 as Montgomery gets the first down and makes it first-and-goal at the 1-yard line. Montgomery stays in but is stopped by Jeffrey Simmons, losing two points. Montgomery gets the throw, but it's a throw to LaPorta for the touchdown! The Lions' offense picks up pace today and Detroit takes a big lead. (2:18)

    It was a high-scoring affair and the Lions look to create another turnover, with Tennessee starting at their own 25 after a false start penalty. Rudolph finds Pollard coming up short as the running back fends off a pair of tackles for 17 yards and a first down. The Titans take another timeout as the game clock expires, but when they come back it's Ridley with another catch for eight yards. Pollard gains a yard with a run up the middle, setting up third-and-1. Rudolph begins play-action and finds Whyle, who is unsuccessfully attacked by Alex Anzalone. Now it's fourth and one, Rudolph jumps into the lead for the first time. This drive continues, but Anzalone quickly gets to Rudolph on first down and takes him for the sack. A big pass to Pollard is negated thanks to another holding penalty, making it 2nd-and-28. On the next play, Rudolph tries to go for third-and-14 as Terrion Arnold knocks the ball away from Ridley for an incompletion. Raymond catches the punt at the Detroit 14 but finds a hole for a 64-yard return. (6:17)

    Joseph gets another interception, St. Brown gets a touchdown reception as the Lions extend the lead to 28-14 in the second quarter

    After the touchback, Rudolph falls back, but the pass to Okonkwu is intercepted by Joseph, who makes a few tackles and returns the ball to the Tennessee 12. After the turnover, Montgomery gets the carry for three yards. Goff has to throw it away on second down, but finds LaPorta, who dives for a touchdown. After the review, LaPorta is called a foot short of the goal line, but Goff finds St. Brown wide open in the end zone for the touchdown as the Lions continue to increase their lead. (11:37)

    Dorsey's kick return, Titans penalty gives the Lions a goal, Detroit takes a 21-14 lead in the second quarter

    Khalil Dorsey takes the kickoff from the Detroit 3 but runs down the sideline before being chased by Amani Hooker for a 72-yard return. The Lions start at the Tennessee 25 as Montgomery runs for five yards, then Sam LaPorta makes his first catch and loses a yard. On third-and-6, Goff's pass to Kalif Raymond goes incomplete, but Jarvis Brownlee has to call both pass interference and facemask penalties on Raymond to make it first-and-goal at the Tennessee 8. Goff finds an open Brock Wright for the touchdown, and the extra point is good as the Lions take the lead again. (12:51)

    The Titans end another drive with a touchdown, the Lions have a 14-14 tie

    (Start of 2nd Quarter) Pollard gets the carry and runs four yards out on first-and-goal, then Rudolph finds Nick Westbrook-Ikhine for the 5-yard touchdown pass. The extra point is good and the Titans even the score again. (14:18)

    The Lions dominate on the ground, the Titans burn Detroit in the air, while the Lions lead 14-7 after one quarter

    Tennessee starts another drive at its own 30 when Pat O'Connor misses the tackle on Pollard, allowing him to gain two yards. Rudolph finds Pollard on the quick slant for the first down, but Chig Okonkwo is called for offensive pass interference. The Titans made up for it when Ridley hit Amik Robertson deep before being tackled by Kerby Joseph for a 47-yard gain. Ridley catches the out route for 11 yards and another first down, then Pollard gets the direct snap and throws it to Jackson, who leaps outside and runs for the touchdown, but there are two offensive hold calls to bring the Titans back. It's first-and-20 as Ridley gets more catches and gains 20 yards on consecutive plays, ending the quarter. (end of 1st quarter)

    The Lions took the lead back in one play, and Gibbs' 70-yard touchdown gave Detroit a 14-7 lead

    After the touchback, it's first-and-10 at the Detroit 30 as Gibbs receives the handoff and storms into the open field, where he runs untouched down the sideline for a 70-yard touchdown run. He has already topped his longest touchdown run from last week and with a good extra point the Lions quickly take the lead again. (3:57)

    Goff continues to be sacked, the Titans respond to the tie at 7-7

    Rudolph enters the play on first down and finds a wide-open Josh Whyle running for a 33-yard completion. The Titans used their first timeout with 5:33 left in the first quarter, then Boyd made the catch for five yards on first down. On second down, Ridley made a hard-contested catch over Brian Branch for 26 yards, then Rudolph shook Ben Niemann for the 11-yard touchdown run. The extra point is good and the Titans tie the game. (4:07)

    Gibbs runs outside for 11 yards on first down. The pass from Goff to Allen Robinson, replacing Jameson Williams in the lineup, is short and incomplete, then Goff is sacked by Roger McCreary for a loss of 13 yards. On third-and-23, Goff is sacked by Key again and fumbles the ball as Kevin Zeitler recovers it, forcing the Lions to punt again. Fox hit a booming 67-yarder to Jackson, who returned it to the Tennessee 25. (6:20)

    Jackson takes the kickoff and returns it to the Tennessee 29, but Malcolm Rodriguez is seen limping off the field after the kickoff. Pollard finds a hole on first down and gains 17 yards to move the chains, then pushes forward for another four yards on the next play. On his third straight run, Pollard is blocked by Alim McNeill, losing two points and making it to third-and-8 as Carlton Davis nearly intercepts the pass. The Titans pass the ball to Kalif Raymond, who makes a 10-yard return to the Detroit 17. (8:15)

    Nowaske gets the first interception, Montgomery finds the end zone and the Lions take an early 7-0 lead

    David Montgomery gets his first carry since the fumble against the Vikings last game, gaining nine yards and 15 more after a facemask penalty on Key. Montgomery receives the second carry and takes it into the end zone for the 7-yard touchdown run. Jake Bates' extra point is good and the Lions take an early lead. (10:31)

    Mason Rudolph gets the start for the injured Will Levis, while Tony Pollard makes his first run for four yards. Rudolph then finds Calvin Ridley for 13 yards and a first down, then Pollard gains nothing on the next play. It's second-and-10 when Rudolph is pressured by Levi Onwuzurike and throws the ball straight to Trevor Nowaske for the interception! Nowaske makes it to the Tennessee 23 as the Lions have excellent field position to start their second drive. (11:07)

    (Beginning of the 1st quarter) The Lions start the game on first down, but Arden Key collects the blindside sack against Jared Goff for a loss of seven yards. Goff then throws the ball short to Amon-Ra St. Brown for six yards, then Jahmyr Gibbs also gets a short pass for six yards as the Lions punt. Jack Fox sends the ball to Jha'Quan Jackson, who loses the ball but recovers it at the Tennessee 15. (12:57)

    The Week 8 game between the Titans and Lions is underway. The Lions wear their all-blue uniforms, while the Titans wear white uniforms and light blue pants. Tennessee won the throw and elected to defer, meaning the Lions will start at their own 30 after the touchback.

    Before the game

    After a few high-profile away games, the Lions return to Ford Field to take on the struggling Tennessee Titans team.

    After defeating the Vikings 31-29 in a back-and-forth matchup last week to clinch first place in the NFC North, the Lions are looking to extend their winning streak to five straight, which would be their longest since 2016.

    They will be without one of their young weapons on offense as Jameson Williams is serving the first of a two-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances. This is the second time Williams has been suspended in his young career.

    Meanwhile, the Titans are looking for an upset win to salvage a tumultuous season. Tennessee has scored more than 20 points just once this season, and that was before the team traded veteran receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Kansas City Chiefs.
