Dallas Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers Sunday Night Football open thread

The halfway point of the season is quickly approaching and many fans across the league are enjoying the struggles of the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys so far in 2024.

Both the Niners and Cowboys were expected NFC contenders this year, and so far they've been anything but. Dallas is just one game out of last place in the NFC East heading into Week 8, while San Francisco is in the three-way battle for the sits second in the NFC West but is in last place in the division due to tiebreakers.

Despite their struggles so far in 2024, the 49ers have a 5.5-point advantage at FanDuel Sportsbook, with the over/under at 47.5. Everyone hates the Niners and would like to see them go into a bye with a nice little two game losing streak. Unfortunately, the Cowboys are simply a bad football team with a bad defense under Mike McCarthy, and Kyle Shanahan has a chance to get Brock Purdy and the 49ers' offense back on track against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Expect San Francisco to win and cover the lead, but expect the minors to strike, as Dallas' offense has been almost as bad as their defense so far this season.
