Dak Prescott reacts to the Dallas Cowboys' recent loss with brutal honesty

The Dallas Cowboys lost to the Atlanta Falcons 27-21 on Sunday, moving them to 3-5 this season. As with many of their losses this year, the final result doesn't tell the whole story.

Dallas got within six points with less than two minutes to play, but the Falcons were in full control the entire time. What made this even more frustrating was the fact that they moved the ball and actually outscored the Falcons 378-310.

The problem was that Dallas failed to convert when it mattered most. This includes achieving 1 out of 5 on fourth down conversions. Most of them not only failed, but failed spectacularly.

These failures led to Dak Prescott brutally attacking his own team during the game. Prescott, who left in the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury, was caught on the sideline saying his team sucked after an incomplete pass from Cooper Rush to Jalen Brooks. Of course he used harsher language.

It's hard to disagree with Prescott's assessment. Dallas is just a bad football team right now.

Part of that is thanks to Prescott, who wasn't nearly as sharp as he was in 2023, when he finished runner-up for the 2023 NFL MVP Award.

On Sunday, he managed to protect the football and avoid any interceptions. He also played an extremely conservative game, with almost every one of his passes traveling less than 10 meters through the air. He only managed 133 yards on 24 attempts.

Prescott signed the most lucrative contract in the NFL this offseason with the expectation that he could lead the team to the playoffs. That's not the case, as they find themselves in the rare position of being a team on the verge of a massive rebuild despite having a franchise quarterback on the books.
