Cooler with less wind for Halloween

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Meteorologist Peyton Sanders says the thunderstorms have subsided. Now look for a cooler Halloween with sunshine.

Skies will clear overnight as winds ease. It will be a chilly start to the day on Halloween with morning lows in the 30s over western Kansas and lower 40s over eastern Kansas.

On Halloween we will have lots of sunshine throughout the day. The maximum temperature is around 60 degrees. In the evening, temperatures drop into the high 40s and low 50s for trick-or-treaters.

More rain and thunderstorm activity will return to Kansas beginning Friday evening. Occasional storms will continue into Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
