Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers shows off his shirtless Dad Bod after the World Series

Clayton Kershaw He may not have played in the World Series, but he certainly made up for it with his cheering.

The Los Angeles Dodgers star, who appeared in just seven games this season as he battled bone spurs in his left big toe following shoulder surgery in the offseason, celebrated shirtless after his team beat the New York Yankees in the fifth game of the World Series Wednesday, October 30 to take home the franchise's eighth championship in history.

“As a man, we all need to embrace the dad bod like Clayton Kershaw at some point,” fan account Dodgers Nation posted via X.

Another viewer at home wrote: “Clayton Kershaw is your dad at the street party who drank too much. Congratulations @Dodgers.”

Kershaw, 36, wore his world champion hat and drank from a Gatorade cup while hugging his teammates Kike Hernandez And Freddie Freeman.

Kershaw's wife, Ellenand her four children – daughter California9, and sons Charley8, cooper4 and chance2 – were also on hand to celebrate the shirtless shenanigans in New York City.

The party raged in the Dodgers' locker room, where a shirtless Kershaw was doused with beer and champagne by his teammates Shohei Ohtani.

While he didn't take the mound in the postseason, Kershaw recently explained how much he enjoys the role of mentor in his team's clubhouse.

“Obviously you want to play and be with the guys, but honestly it was really, really fun,” Kershaw told MLB Network before Game 3 on Tuesday, Oct. 29. “Basically just being a kid and being at Yankee Stadium.” A World Series game where we sat in the front row, hanging out and watching our boys do their thing. It was just a great ride for us.”

Kershaw added: “I can’t say enough good things about this group, I can’t say enough good things about being in this clubhouse every day.”

Earlier this month, Kershaw told Fox that he expected to play next season.

“I’ll come back next year and try it and see how it goes,” the three-time Cy Young Award winner said. “My shoulder and my elbow, everything, my arm feels great.”

Kershaw will have another opportunity to party shirtless when the Dodgers' victory parade takes place in downtown Los Angeles on Friday, November 1st.
