Chris Finch reveals when Wolves fans can expect to see Julius Randle suit up

The Minnesota Timberwolves' trajectory underwent a major shift almost two weeks ago when the team decided to make a risky but potentially extremely rewarding long-term move and move away from Karl-Anthony Towns. The cornerstone of the Wolves' franchise for nearly a decade has now moved to New York, and fans in Minnesota are still unhappy with the entire situation in more ways than one.

But in the midst of uncertainty, there is also excitement. Even though the Timberwolves lose one of the most talented shooters of their generation, they still gain a significant sum in return. Julius Randle remains one of the best deep post players in the association, with a knack for punishing smaller defenders and scoring efficiently in central defense.

Donte DiVincenzo is also vastly underrated when it comes to his potential impact on this team. His ability to shoot from outside is remarkable and even Anthony Edwards believes it will make a big difference for this team. Add in the first-round pick and it seems like Tim Connelly really gave Minnesota a good deal in return for shipping out a very expensive player in Towns.

Now Timberwolves fans are wondering when they'll see Randle in the suit for the first time. DiVincenzo already played in Minnesota's preseason-opening win over the Los Angeles Lakers, and now the only question is when Julius will join him.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Chris Finch told reporters that Randle will be out again Friday night against the Philadelphia 76ers. It will be Minnesota's first preseason contest in a week, but Julius apparently still won't be on the court.

But before Wolves fans panic, Finch also stated that Randle will play sometime next week before the preseason ends. So the fan base will get a close look at their new power forward sometime before the start of the regular season on October 22nd.

This will be even more reason to keep an eye on next week's preseason games against the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls and Denver Nuggets, in addition to the already existing drama of Minnesota facing Karl-Anthony Towns for the first time in his career Sunday.

For a player like Julius Randle, who is a proven veteran and has made multiple All-NBA teams, the preseason is essentially a formality. But it will still be important to familiarize yourself with your new teammates before the regular season to further establish chemistry and develop good habits with a new group.
