Chappell Roan can officially check an important item off her wish list!

Roan, 26, will appear as the musical guest on the November 2nd episode of Saturday Night Live – and it's apparently a goal the singer-songwriter has pursued for more than a decade.

On Friday, November 1, Roan — whose birth name is Kayleigh Amstutz — posted a screenshot of her Facebook status from April 2011 on Instagram. The status simply read, “I'm committed to being on SNL.”

The “Good luck baby!” The singer captioned her Instagram post, “@nbcsnl Tmrw night with @johnmulaney 💋.” Comedian John Mulaney will host the episode.

It's unclear whether Roan's younger self was committed to appearing as a musical guest or host. In conversation with comedian Bowen Yang for Interview magazine In August, Roan explained that she initially thought she would become an actress.

“I originally started doing music because I wanted to get my foot into acting,” she said. “And then I moved to Los Angeles and I was like, 'Shit.' ”

“The industry is legitimately so scary and so out of my control,” she continued. “I can release music whenever I want.” I don't have to wait for a casting director to say, “It would be great if we cast you, and then we'll set your schedule for the next three months.” ”

Roan recently appeared in several promos SNL Consequence. In the clips, Roan can be seen in an elaborate turquoise costume standing next to Mulaney, 42, and castmate Ego Nwodim.

“Hi, I’m John Mulaney and I’m hosting SNL this week with musical guest Chappell Roan,” Mulaney says in the first of two videos.

“And we won’t tell anyone our secret,” Nwodim chimes in, looking directly into the camera.

“We’ll do sketches,” Mulaney continues, and Roan adds, “And I’ll do songs.”

“But we won’t tell anyone our secret,” Mulaney says firmly.

“Because we swore to each other not to tell anyone,” the trio says eerily at the same time.

The second promo video is a fun nod to a viral TikTok trend featuring Roan's wildly popular song “HOT TO GO.” In the clip, Nwodim hilariously fails in her attempt to get Mulaney to join the trend, prompting Roan to quip, “He don't get it, girl.”
