On Friday evening, singer Chappell Roan had a tense moment on the red carpet at the premiere of “Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour” concert film in Los Angeles.

Wearing a striking red dress, Chappell spotted a well-known photographer in the crowd – and approached her, accusing her of shouting at her during the Grammy Awards in February.

According to Chappell, the photographer was “disrespectful and rude” and she believes she owes her an apology.

In a video capturing the tense encounter, Chappell Roan is seen confronting a photographer on the red carpet and asking for an apology. “I deserve an apology for that,” she asserts, followed by: “You have to apologize to me.”

The photographer is silent at first, but the “HOT TO GO” singer presses on and questions him directly until an event employee intervenes and gently pulls her arm to lead her away from the crime scene.

Chappell Roan is no newbie to making her mark on the red carpet. Earlier this year, she had a similar confrontation at the MTV Video Music Awards, where diversity captured the heated moment on video. When a photographer yelled at her, “Shut up,” Roan shot back and said, “Shut up!”

“'Don't do that to another artist again.' “Yes, she ate,” one user said.

“She got him so bad,” wrote another.

“And mind you, she speaks for EVERY celebrity who has been consistently disrespected by dads over the years and today,” a third expressed. “People defend them like they’re not the scum of the earth they’re behind. It's time for someone to call them out on their bullshit. She changes the game.”

A fourth exclaimed: “How would you feel if the same person shouted rudely at you at EVERY event?” That would get boring very quickly. You all need to give her a break. Y’all preach mental health awareness and then get it.” angry when someone just defends themselves or acts human???

The comments continued to pour in, with one X user writing: “The replies to this are crazy. Just because she's a celebrity now, by your shitty standards she has to let random people walk all over her? She's human.” She doesn't have to be perfect, just like you wouldn't be if you were in her shoes.

Another responded directly to the first user and agreed: “Exactly… it's become a trend to attack this woman for doing good things.”

The rising star has recently opened up about the “overwhelming” emotions that come with it her rapid rise to fame, which only began last year.

In a statement released in late September, Chappell Roan discussed her struggles with the fast pace of her career, shortly after canceling two scheduled performances. “I'm feeling pressure to prioritize a lot of things right now and I need a few days to prioritize my health,” she said via diversity. “I want to be present at my performances and give the best show possible. Thank you for your understanding. I’ll be back soon xox.”

Despite the pressure, Roan has cemented her place as one of today's breakout stars, captivating audiences with her unique style and uncompromising presence.
