Chappell Roan calls out another “rude” photographer at the “Guts” premiere

Chappell Roan asks for a super-graphic, cutting-edge apology.

The “Good Luck, Babe” singer called out a photographer who she said was rude to her on the red carpet (or, more specifically, the purple carpet) at the Netflix premiere Olivia Rodrigo: Guts World Tour Concert film on Friday.

But the rudeness in question did not occur at this event. Instead, the musician seems to have remembered the photographer from another party earlier this year.

“You were so disrespectful to me at the Grammys,” Roan said after addressing the photographer in the footage Weekly entertainment captured by the altercation. “You yelled at me at the Grammy party. At the Universal afterparty. I remember.”

The singer actually attended the Universal Grammys afterparty following the 66th Annual Grammy Awards on February 4, 2024. Other guests at the event included Conan Gray, Adrien Brody, Pentatonix and Paris Jackson.

Roan continued, “You were so rude to me. I deserve an apology for that. Yes. Yes, you do. No, no, no. You need to apologize.”

One of the singer's representatives can then be seen pulling her aside to continue walking across the carpet.

This isn't the first time Roan has called out bad behavior on the red carpet. The “Hot to Go” singer caused a stir at the 2024 Video Music Awards last month after someone in the photo pit near her yelled “shut up” and she responded, “You Shut up.” It wasn't entirely clear what went down between the singer and the photographer at the event, but Roan was later seen pointing at someone and saying, “Stop that.” Not me, bitch.”

Roan reflected on this experience in an interview with Entertainment tonight shortly thereafter. “It’s just pretty overwhelming and pretty scary,” the singer said. “I think for someone who is very afraid of people yelling at you, the carpet is terrible. And I shouted back. I screamed.” Baaack. You can't yell at me like that.
