The Los Angeles Lakers assigned Bronny James to their G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, on Thursday. James is expected to remain on the roster for the Lakers' game on Friday against the Philadelphia 76ers before traveling to the G-League for Saturday's game.

The South Bay Lakers play at the UCLA Health Training Center in El Segundo, California, and it is estimated that there will be a lot of people in attendance when Bronny makes his G League debut.

According to Arash Markazi from the Los Angeles TimesSaturday's game against the Salt Lake City Stars (Utah Jazz affiliate) is already sold out. In addition, tickets on the secondary market cost no less than $200.

Bronny is expected to shuttle between the NBA and the G-League, only attending South Bay Lakers home games. He will be back in LA alongside his father, LeBron James, at various points throughout the season.

The 20-year-old appeared in four of the Lakers' first eight games. He is averaging 1.0 points, 0.5 assists and 0.3 rebounds per game while shooting 16.7% from the field. He will get the chance to develop in the G-League, where he will hopefully make significant developmental strides as he attempts to become a mainstay in the NBA.
