Brian Daboll needs to send a message by taking out the NY Giants veteran after their Week 6 loss

That's safe to say Football on Sunday evenings The showdown with the Bengals didn't go according to plan for the NY Giants and head coach Brian Daboll. The Giants had a tremendous chance to improve their record to 3-3 this year, but Daniel Jones and the offense somehow only scored seven points. Rough.

At the end of the day, several guys didn't make their plays when they needed to. 100 percent on the list is veteran kicker Greg Joseph, who made a lot of people mad as hell with his play. Joseph missed two field goals that night, with the biggest disappointment being his 47-yarder that went wide with the Giants trailing 10-7.

With Graham Gano injured, the Giants brought in Joseph to provide in pressure situations. He has proven in prime time that he cannot be trusted in such places. Last week after the win over Seattle, Daboll said he wasn't going to put up with his guys' could-have-shoulda play. Now a message must be sent: Joseph must be circumcised.

His first miss was hard to watch as it actually prevented the G-Men from sorting things out. In his second win, the G-Men were in desperation mode at 17-7. With less than a minute left, a Joseph shot would have cut the deficit to seven points, and the G-Men would have lined up for an onside kick to try to pull off a late miracle.

But once again Joseph failed to connect and the game was over. With Graham Gano eligible to return from injured reserve for the Week 7 clash with the Eagles, the hope is that he will be healthy enough to get back on the field and assume the starting kicker role for this team.

However, if the Giants miss overtime, can the Giants trust Joseph to come back and make timely kicks? The answer is no, and it's not a risk Daboll should take with Philly on the next schedule.

Can you imagine losing to Nick Sirianni and Co. because of a missed shot by Joseph? That would be a nightmare. This store requires you to report when your number is called. Joseph messed up and it should cost him a spot on the Big Blue roster.
