Boston College once again failed to put together a complete game, this time blowing a 20-point lead.

The Eagles got off to a hot start and capitalized on several errors by the Cardinals. Quintayvious Hutchins grabbed Louisville quarterback Tyler Shough and the Eagles found themselves in the end zone a few plays later. Castellanos found tight end Kamari Morales wide open for a long touchdown. They once again took advantage of their excellent field position after a missed FG from Louisville and doubled the lead early in the second quarter. Hutchins again did his best impression on Cameron Martinez, recovering a fumble and setting BC up for another score.

Kye Robichaux ran for a short touchdown and the Eagles were in business. But things quickly began to unravel. A missed extra point was all Louisville needed. Shough led the team in a 10-play, 76-yard touchdown run to get on the field before halftime.

Louisville scored first with a field goal in the second half to make it a 10-point game. The Eagles struggled to build pressure, but the coverage was enough to bend rather than break. BC's offense found a bit of a rhythm with running back Treshaun Ward. Ward took over on the next drive and led the team with 64 yards rushing and 81 yards on three catches. He brought BC down the field and set up a touchdown pass from Castellanos to Jeremiah Franklin that made it 27-10.

From then on, it was all Louisville. Shough found the receivers wide open and the Cardinals would score touchdowns on three of their next four possessions. Shough finished 28/38 with 333 yards. Castellanos, however, couldn't find a rhythm and limped in the second half after gaining a few yards on the run. He finished with 13/28 for 164 yards.

BC had two final chances but were stopped by defeats on both. On the final drive, BC struggled to move the ball and ended with a poor Hail Mary attempt out of the end zone.

Bill O'Brien's team gets another week off before welcoming Syracuse to Chestnut Hill.
