The Kansas men's basketball team will likely be shorthanded for Friday night's exhibition game against Arkansas at sold-out Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

KU senior center Hunter Dickinson, who suffered another foot injury during Friday's Late Night in the Phog scrimmage, said Wednesday at Big 12 Media Day at T-Mobile Center that he was questionable for the charity exhibition.

Meanwhile, former Alabama guard Rylan Griffen is listed as questionable by coach Bill Self with a hip flexor injury. And Mississippi State transfer guard Shakeel Moore, who had foot surgery in early September, won't return to practice until next week, probably Sunday.

“I don’t think we’ll be fully healthy,” KU coach Self said of Friday’s exhibition. “Hunt was outside. Shak is out. Rylan suffered a hip flexor injury on Monday and is doubtful. You can all train until Sunday, including Shak.”

Self added that Moore responded well to treatment after his surgery and the other two injuries were not considered serious.

“In five days we will be healthier than ever,” Self noted.

When asked about playing against Arkansas at Big 12 Media Day, Dickinson said: “I’m not sure. We're still trying to figure it out. We continue to rehab. We'll see. It’s making progress every day.”

The AP Preseason All-American added that he will be “ready for the start of the season.”

“It's a sprain, not something that's going to keep him out for a long time,” Self concluded.

Self said the exhibition game will last four quarters (probably 12 minutes each), not two 20-minute halves. Self said he and Arkansas coach John Calipari could pause the game at times to work on certain situations.

“We’re going to keep the score,” Self said of the game, which was scheduled for 8 p.m. “With both teams having guys that are out there, it will be good to have a lot of guys out there and see how they respond to big minutes.”
