Betting odds and prediction for the Pistons vs. Pacers regular season opener

Wednesday night marks the start of a clean slate for the Detroit Pistons. The Indiana Pacers are in town to celebrate the start of the regular season, taking on two division rivals.

Last year the Pistons finished at the bottom of the barrel. With a record of 14-68, Detroit's ownership wasted no time in starting work on big changes as soon as they reached the offseason.

There was a reorganization in the front office, with Troy Weaver being removed from power in favor of a new employee, Trajan Langdon. And even though the Pistons had hired Monty Williams to replace Dwane Casey as head coach just two summers ago, the new management believed there was a better candidate out there for the job.

The JB Bickerstaff era begins on Wednesday. After an active offseason and an intriguing preseason, there is a lot of excitement around the Pistons.

By adding several key veterans, including Tobias Harris and Malik Beasley, Cade Cunningham and the Pistons are hoping for better veteran leadership in 2024-2025. The Pistons are also pleased with the growth of the Cunningham-led backcourt, which also includes the up-and-coming Jaden Ivey.
