Lauri Markkanen O/U 31.5 PTS + REB vs. Kings

In 10 career games against the Kings, Markkanen has grabbed eight or more rebounds in two of those contests and has 32 or more combined points and rebounds in two of them.

However, entering the season, Markkanen has a baseline of 7.5 rebounds and 31.5 combined points + rebounds. He's grabbed at least eight rebounds in three games, but I think that trend is likely to continue, not to mention his shooting lately.

Markkanen shot 8 of 32 from the field in the last two games, his worst two-game stretch of his career. Markknane shot 4 of 15 last night against Dallas and scored 17 points. I like Markkanen's points and rebounds from under 31.5 (-115) to 30.5.

Klay Thomspon O/U 15.5 points at Timberwolves

Klay Thomspon has been outstanding for Dallas this season, scoring 18 or more points in all three games, but for this contest he has a points advantage of 15.5.

It's the second night in a row he scored 18 points in 28 minutes against Utah last night. Thomspon and the Mavericks left Dallas for Minnesota and the 34-year-old can't find a break for the Mavericks in his first game.

Last season he averaged a surprising 19.5 points per game on 14 pitches without rest, but I think that number will go down this season with a new team. He also hasn't made a free throw that relied on the three-ball in two straight games.

Jaden McDaniels, Mike Conley and Anthony Edwards will be the primary defenders getting Thompson in and out, which is plenty for me. Give me Thomspon under 15.5 points.

Draymond Green O/U 20.5 PRA vs. Pelicans

Steph Curry is out against New Orleans and Andrew Wiggins is a game-time decision, so a lot of Golden State players will have higher stakes.

Draymond Green is averaging 4.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists (11.6 PRA) in three games, so I'm not sure if the correction to 19.5 and 20.5 PRA without these two players are correct.

Green is 1 of 6 from the field with two free throw attempts in the last two games. Green has recorded more than six individual points, rebounds or assists in a game so far this year. I don't expect it to start here.

Mavericks 1Q Team Total under 27.5 (+100) at Timberwolves

Dallas has scored 27, 26 and 20 points in the first quarter of its three games this season and is now playing on the road for the second straight night. This is not a good situation for Dallas and Minnesota has plenty of defenses to throw at Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson.

The Mavericks topped that 27.5-point first-quarter total three of four times last season against Minnesota, with the only under coming on the second night of a meeting. Give me Mavs 1Q Team Total Under 27.5 at +100 odds.

Nuggets 1Q Team Total under 28.5 (+100) at Nets

Denver scored 24, 19 and 29 points in the first quarter to start the season, but is playing in Brooklyn for the second straight night. Denver beat the Raptors last night in Toronto, but needed OT (127-125) while the Nets fell short.

The Nuggets are not in good shape right now. Last year, Denver scored 28 and 29 points in the first quarter against the Nets, so this statement is consistent with those numbers. I played Denver 1Q Team Total Under 28.5 at odds of +105.
