Apple TV+ unveils teaser for second season of “Severance.”

Today, Apple TV+ released the teaser for the second season of its globally acclaimed, Emmy and Peabody Award-winning workplace thriller Severance, providing a glimpse into the secrets that lie ahead at Lumon Industries. The 10-episode second season of Severance is directed and produced by Ben Stiller and created, written and produced by Dan Erickson. It will debut worldwide on Apple TV+. The first episode will be released on Friday, January 17, 2025, followed by one episode each Friday through March 21.

In “Severance,” Mark Scout (Adam Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries whose employees have undergone a severance process that surgically divides their memories between work and home life. This daring experiment in work-life balance is called into question when Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and himself. In the second season, Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of messing with the severance pay barrier, leading them further down a path of misery.

The second season reunites the star ensemble, including Emmy Award nominee Scott, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, Emmy Award winner John Turturro, Oscar winner Christopher Walken as well as Academy and Emmy Award winner Patricia Arquette and welcomes new series regular Sarah Bock.

“Severance” is executive produced by Stiller, who will also direct five episodes this season alongside directors Uta Briesewitz, Sam Donovan and Jessica Lee Gagné. The series was written, created and executive produced by Erickson. The second season of Severance is also executive produced by John Lesher, Jackie Cohn, Mark Friedman, Beau Willimon, Jordan Tappis, Donovan, Caroline Baron, Richard Schwartz and Nicholas Weinstock. Scott and Arquette not only star but also serve as executive producers. The fifth season is the studio.
