It's no secret that Anthony Edwards has great confidence in his athletic abilities, even off the basketball court.

The Minnesota Timberwolves star recently told Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson that he could hold his own in the NFL and compete against Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry.

When asked if Edwards could compete against him, Henry responded hilariously.

“Do I think Anthony Edwards could beat me? Hell no,” he said.

Edwards responded to the video of Henry denouncing him on social media on Wednesday:

Real NFL defenders already have enough trouble bringing down Henry, who is 6-foot-2 and weighs 220 pounds, so Edwards could do it by saying he could tackle him.

Edwards has publicly claimed that he can play other sports besides basketball. He even said earlier this week that he has plans to fulfill his dream of playing two sports as an athlete if he achieves his NBA goals soon.

“Football players can’t go play basketball. Absolutely not,” Edwards said. “I told my friends, 'If I win a ring in the next three to four years, I'm going to play football.'”

Edwards on the football field would be a sight to behold, but for now he will focus on leading the Timberwolves to another big year after leading them to the Western Conference finals a year ago.
