Country fans in the Austin area can now look forward to one of the genre's biggest local events: Two Step Inn, the two-day festival in Georgetown, has announced its 2025 lineup. April 5th and 6th will feature big names from the traditional greats to the crossover hits, including headliners Alan Jackson and Sturgill Simpson and more.

A total of 36 acts will play the festival presented by C3 Events. Each day features a headliner on the main stage, but there are three stages at San Gabriel Park.

Alan Jackson, who headlines Saturday, is known for neo-traditional country and a sense of humor in his most popular songs, “Chattahoochee” and “It's Five O'Clock Somewhere.” With Jackson currently on a farewell tour, this may be the last time fans see him in Austin. Sturgill Simpson is making headlines on Sunday after headlining the Austin City Limits Music Festival, which was one of the best shows of the entire event. Simpson, also known as Johnny Blue Skies, is a great blues and rock guitarist, and his live band is also on fire.

Although they are not listed as headliners, two other acts are featured equally prominently on the poster. Miranda Lambert, the versatile singer from Longview, Texas, who became the most awarded artist in the history of the Academy of Country Music, performs Saturday; Lynyrd Skynyrd, the legendary Southern rock band behind songs like “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Freebird” (or at least successors to the original group), will play Sunday.

Other artists on Saturday include:

  • Lowland cavalry
  • Diplo presents Thomas Wesley
  • Gavin Adcock
  • Serious
  • Eli Young Band
  • Randall King
  • Tracy Byrd
  • Diamond Rio

Sunday's artists include:

  • Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentlemen
  • Nelly
  • Shane Smith and the Saints
  • Sammy Kershaw
  • Ole 60
  • The scammers

A press release describes the Two Step Inn as “the largest outdoor honky-tonk in the world.” This is the third year, which began with rave reviews and a surprisingly powerful line-up. It has certainly never been concerned with the traditions of the genre, resulting in a fresh take that couldn't be more popular if word of mouth is to be believed. (Diplo never headlined, but his show was a big topic of conversation in 2023).

In addition to the three stages, there will be multiple dance floors, local food and a market for vintage and craft vendors. A press release notes that since 2023, Two Step Inn has donated more than $2.3 million to Friends of Georgetown Parks and Recreation, injecting $100 million into the Georgetown economy.
