Ravens released former Pro Bowler Yannick Ngakoue before matchup against Bengals

CINCINNATI – The Ravens are releasing veteran defensive end Yannick Ngakoue, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Will the Bengals sign the former Pro Bowler?

Baltimore hopes to get Ngakoue back on the practice squad.

That means the Bengals won't have to deal with Ngakoue on Thursday night against the Ravens. It also gives them the option to sign the veteran pass rusher if they believe he can help them with pass rushing.

Ngakoue has 1.5 sacks and five tackles in five games for Baltimore this season.

The Ravens are releasing him to make room on the roster for second-year running back Keaton Mitchell.
