The photo posted by Trump's granddaughter Kai attracted widespread attention because the 78-year-old leader's family photo also included billionaire Elon Musk posing with his son X Æ A-Xii. Kai captioned the picture with “The whole squad.” It is noteworthy that Trump's wife Melania was missing from the photo.

X Æ A-Xii was born on May 4, 2020 and is one of Musk's three children with singer Grimes.

Donald Trump scored a massive victory in the 2024 US presidential election by defeating his rival Kamala Harris to become the 47th President of the United States of America.

As many know, Musk campaigned for and supported Trump from the start. Internet users also reacted to Musk's presence in the family photo, with one X user saying, “Elon is part of the family now.”

Another said: “For those asking why Elon is in this picture. No one risked more or had more to lose in this election than he did. He put all these companies and his reputation at risk to save free speech.”

“Elon is now an honorary member of the Trump family? The beginning of a beautiful friendship,” wrote another.

Meanwhile, Musk reposted the photo Kai shared and then posted another photo of himself with his son on his shoulders and Trump. SpaceX's CEO captioned the image “Novus Ordo Seclorum,” a Latin phrase that translates to “New Order of the Ages.”

During the campaign, Musk also took his four-year-old son to Trump's historic rally in Manhattan. The Tesla CEO had promised the crowd that he could cut at least $2 trillion in unnecessary spending from the federal budget if Trump were elected president – one of many instances in which Musk endorsed the Republican for the Oval Office.

Amid the growing partnership with Musk, the president-elect thanked the billionaire in his victory speech on Wednesday. “Elon Musk saved many lives in North Carolina. Musk is a genius. We must protect our geniuses,” Trump said.

The Tesla CEO was also one of the prominent figures at Trump's exclusive star-studded party at the beach resort Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday evening, from which Musk also shared a picture.
