Creighton guard Pop Isaacs is out for the start of the season

Three Creighton players – including Texas Tech transfer guard Pop Isaacs – are wearing street clothes for the Bluejays' season opener against Texas Rio Grande Valley on Wednesday night.

Isaacs, who scored 24 points in a benefit game against Purdue, is out with a hip problem, according to a source. CU moved Arizona State transfer Jamiya Neal to the shooting guard position where Isaacs would normally play, while moving Mason Miller to the small forward position.

The other CU players in street clothes were Larry Johnson and Fedor Zugic. Johnson, a freshman, could be headed for a redshirt while Montenegro's Zugic continues to work through NCAA eligibility issues.
