WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – The Rams agreed to a trade with the Ravens on Tuesday that sends cornerback Tre'Davious White to Baltimore.

White originally signed a one-year contract in free agency earlier this year. White started Los Angeles' first four games, collecting a total of 12 tackles and two passes defended during that span, before becoming inactive as a healthy backup for the final four games.

Over the past four games, the Rams have stuck with the same group of cornerbacks when rotating the position, and head coach Sean McVay said last week that they would continue to do so barring any unexpected events such as injuries.

McVay said last week that White played more snaps than the team expected early in the season due to injuries at the position. White was recovering from a season-ending knee injury he suffered with the Bills in Week 4 last season.

McVay repeatedly praised White for his professionalism in handling the circumstances during this time.

“The thing is, the guy wants to be able to compete, and I can understand that. He was a great player in this league,” McVay said on Oct. 28. “I can't say enough good things about the way he conducted himself as a man, as a player, as a leader and as a mentor. It just hasn't turned out the way I would have liked so far.

White's opportunity to compete will now come in Baltimore.
