    It's Election Day, and while many Kentuckians head to their polling places to cast their votes, others have regular errands to run like grocery shopping, shipping packages or going to the bank. But are they open?

    Although Election Day is not on the list of federal holidays, it is still observed as a holiday in some states. Many state offices will be closed and 24 states and the District of Columbia are offering paid leave to vote. Other states allow elective leave, but without pay.
