MINNEAPOLIS – Election day is Tuesday. If you want to know where to vote in Minnesota, you can find the location of your polling place here.

How do you find your polling place in Minnesota?

Polling stations are often located at a community center, place of worship, or school near your home. However, they can sometimes change if a building becomes unusable or your territory is rezoned.

How to find your polling place:

  • Visit the Minnesota Secretary of State website.
  • Enter your address by following the instructions.
  • You can then find out where your polling station is on the website.

Can you ever vote at another polling place in Minnesota?

According to the Minnesota Secretary of State, if you vote in person on Election Day, you must do so at your designated polling place.

If you need to drop off your mail-in ballot on Election Day, you must return it to the location that mailed your ballot by 8:00 p.m. You can also drop off your mail-in ballot at a secure mailbox before 8 p.m

What do you need to bring to vote in Minnesota?

If your voter registration is active — meaning you successfully registered 21 days before Election Day and haven't moved or changed your name since then — you don't need to bring your ID.

However, if you need to register to vote, need to update your registration or have not voted in at least four years, you must provide proof of residency, according to the Minnesota Secretary of State's Office. You can find a list of valid options for proving your residency here.
