Patriots at Titans: How to watch, odds, expert tips for a match between two bottom teams

Rookie head coaches with quarterback questions face off in Week 9 when the New England Patriots take on the Tennessee Titans. The Titans are favorites at home as they look to end their three-game losing streak.

The Patriots (2-6) ended their six-game losing streak last Sunday with a satisfying 25-22 home win over the New York Jets. They rank last in both total offense and passing offense. Rookie quarterback Drake Maye had to leave last week's game after being diagnosed with a concussion, but he is expected to play.

Tennessee (1-6) also has uncertainty at center. Will Levis has missed the last two games with a shoulder injury and has twice as many turnovers (10) as touchdowns (five) this season. Mason Rudolph stepped in, and although he helped the Titans post a season-high 416 yards of total offense last week, it didn't matter in a 52-14 Detroit Lions win. Rudolph is expected to be back in the starting lineup and will try to spark an offense that hasn't performed much better than New England statistically.

Tennessee's defense has been solid all season and currently ranks first in the NFL in total yards allowed per game. That includes the 225 yards the Lions gained last week, most of which came on the ground (164). The bigger problems were four turnovers and numerous special teams mishaps, including a 90-yard punt return for a touchdown.
