Eagles vs Jaguars Week 9 Match Preview and Predictions

The big takeaway from the Philadelphia Eagles' win last week is that it feels that way they are back.

For the first time in a long time, I'm saying the Birds get the benefit of the doubt.

That's why I'm confident they'll beat the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jalen Hurts should be able to follow up his best game of the season with another strong performance. The Jags have one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. This is a week where it may make more sense than usual to come out with the throw and not simply rely on Saquon Barkley, as Jacksonville is more resistant to the run in comparison.

Vic Fangio's defense should be able to prevent the Jags' offense from having a big day. Yes, Jacksonville will reportedly have Brian Thomas Jr., Tank Bigsby and Travis Etienne. But they may be missing two of their three starting wide receivers and as many as three starting offensive linemen. And Trevor Lawrence has a tendency to turn the ball over.

As long as the Eagles don't beat themselves, they should win this game, and win it with ease. Spirits are high at the team's first Kelly Green game of the season.
