USC ends with a losing record?

The USC Trojans lost their fourth Big Ten road game as the Washington Huskies defeated the Trojans 26-21 in Seattle. With three games left in the season, there is a chance USC will finish the season with more losses than wins.

USC running back Woody Marks had 17 yards on the ground in the first half against the Huskies. It's amazing how quickly Riley abandons the running game early in a game. Unlike last week's win over Rutgers, the Trojans didn't have much offensive success at all in the first half. USC only managed to score a meager seven points in the first half as USC quarterback Miller Moss threw two interceptions in the first half. The Trojans missed points on their first three drives of the game, including a three-and-out, a pick and a missed 52-yard field goal attempt. If USC expects to win big games, they can't be as indecisive on offense as they were against Washington.

Another day, another 100-yard game from USC running back Woody Marks. It was one of his best games of the season as he ran for 123 yards, including over 100 in the second half, and nearly led the Trojans to victory. The 126 yards is his second-highest total of the season. He also added a touchdown on the ground and seven catches for 26 yards through the air. Marks continues to impress this season despite the offensive unit as a whole struggling. The graduate transfer running back has already set a career-high in receiving yards and is on pace to break his career-high in touchdowns. As things stand, the Trojans running back is on pace to break the 1,000-yard mark this season with 755 yards and eight touchdowns.

With three games left to play and the Trojans not quite bowl-eligible with a 4-5 record, the question becomes: Can USC win two of its next three games to become bowl eligible? The Trojans will face Nebraska in two weeks, followed by UCLA and Notre Dame. With USC on the decline, the matchup against the Cornhuskers will be telling. If the Trojans forfeit the game against Nebraska, USC could actually be in danger of finishing with a losing record.
