Unai Emery spoke to Sky: ““My first message that I send to everyone is: 'I want to keep breaking our level higher and higher.'” I dream and I want to work to try to make my dreams come true.

“My dream is to achieve the best at the club I am at and the goals we have. Playing in Europe, playing in the Champions League – my dream is to win the Champions League as a coach. Hopefully with Aston Villa.

“The Premier League is very difficult to win because at the moment there are three teams that are playing consistently – Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal.” But here Leicester won and when Leicester won the Premier League it was very difficult and maybe even impossible. For this reason it is not impossible in football. You can dream and work hard to achieve it.”

Tottenham full-back Destiny Udogie spoke to Sky: “When you get a win, the mood in the dressing room always changes and that gives you confidence. That’s why we’re happy about this win (against Man City) and we’re focused on today’s game.”

“Van de Ven is a big loss for us, but we are all together as a team. Villa are honestly a great team. We are ready to give our best and hopefully win.”

Villa skipper John McGinn spoke to Sky: “We have a good record in London. It feels nice to be back here, but the last few wins here we had to work for it. On some of those occasions they probably deserved to win, so we have to be ready today.

“To get the three points, we have to work and run. Tottenham makes you run a lot so we are ready to do that. Spurs are not an easy team as they have had their ups and downs for most of the league this season, but they pose a major threat.

“From our point of view, we are very happy that Van de Ven is missing. We have to do our best, they are a team that will be at the top of the table at the end of the season.”

Ange makes four changes to this Team that lost at Crystal Palace last week when Son returned and James Maddison dropped to the bench. Micky van de Ven is out due to a thigh problem, Radu Dragusin comes into the game. Pape Sarr is ahead of Yves Bissouma and his partners Rodrigo Bentancur. Mikey Moore is on the bench and we hope to see him off the bench again. The last week in Selhurst was no fun for the youngster.

Unai Emery opts for the orthodoxy of Jhon Duran on the benchand Ollie Watkins begins.

preamble

This should be good. With Tottenham beating Manchester City in midweek and Aston Villa generally performing so well, they are two clubs oozing with optimism. However, the optimism at Spurs can easily be broken. And Aston Villa have won three of their five Premier League games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, including each of the last two, say the Stattos. Can Unai Emery outsmart Ange-Ball? It's entirely possible, you know. Villa can move up to third place in the table if they win, while Spurs can move up to seventh place.

Kick-off is at 2 p.m., come along.
