Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson got on the scoresheet as Bournemouth secured a surprise 2-1 win over champions Manchester City on Saturday, ending City's 32-game unbeaten run in the Premier League.

The defeat dropped Pep Guardiola's City to second place in the table with 23 points after 10 games, two points behind Liverpool, while the Cherries, who had lost to City by an aggregate score of 45-7 in their 14 previous league games, moved to eighth Place advanced place.

Bournemouth were rewarded for their strong start with Semenyo's ninth-minute goal. Milos Kerkez played the ball superbly down the left side to the byline before sending a low cross to Semenyo, who turned the ball over and beat goalkeeper Ederson.

Evanilson doubled the home team's lead in the 64th minute when he latched on to a cross from Kerkez and fired into the goal.

City ensured a nervy finish after conceding a goal in the 82nd minute when Josko Gvardiol jumped on a cross from Ilkay Gündogan, whose header was fired onto the crossbar by Mark Travers.

City's starting striker Erling Haaland hit the post from close range in stoppage time.
