A Farmington Hills man's lucky numbers ended up winning him a huge Mega Millions prize.

According to the Michigan Lottery, Tyrone Fergerson, 53, purchased a Mega Millions ticket that matched the five white balls drawn on September 24th, 1st, 6th, 10th, 23rd and 27th. His ticket had the Megaplier option, which increased the standard price from $1 million to $5 million.

“I play Mega Millions once a week and I always play this series of numbers that are made up of special dates,” Fergerson told the Michigan Lottery. “I woke up in the middle of the night and decided to check my ticket,” I said. I said a prayer and then looked up the winning numbers and was speechless when I saw that I won not $1 million but $5 million . All I can say is that the win is incredible and I feel humbled and grateful!

He purchased his ticket at the Chill Box Convenience Store at 29801 W. 9 Mile Road in Farmington Hills.

Fergerson recently claimed his prize and plans to use the money to provide for his family
