Election week is just around the corner – a roundup of stories on how you can prepare

Welcome to election week! Tomorrow, November 5, millions of voters will go to the polls, adding to the tens of millions of voters who have already cast their ballots via early voting. You can check out the University of Florida's Michael McDonald's 2024 Early Voting Tracker to see national early voting statistics. Over the last month, our coverage has focused on battleground races, previews of ballot measures and analysis of what's at stake for federal, state and local politics.

So let's take a look at our top Election Day articles and resources.

2024 Voter Toolkit

Back in September, we introduced our Voter Toolkit 2024, designed to make it more convenient than ever for voters to access our neutral and unbiased election information. Find personalized voting information and educational resources on the easy-to-navigate hub page. Our voter toolkit is free for anyone who wants to navigate the voting process clearly and securely.

Sample ballot search

If you go to the polls tomorrow, use our sample ballot search tool to learn more about the candidates and issues on your ballot. All you have to do is enter your address. You can then view a list of candidates on your ballot, as well as biographies, past election results and more. Over time, we have conducted more than 15 million searches using this tool.

Election Helpdesk

Our Election Helpdesk is happy to answer your most pressing questions about tomorrow's elections. Curious about why states have different voting rules or whether you can take a ballot selfie? Wondering when states can start counting mail-in/mail-in ballots and what the rules are for a recount? Maybe you're curious what would happen if there was a tie in the Electoral College? You can find answers to these and other questions in the Election Helpdesk, which contains more than 50 articles on eight major question categories.

Election results

This site is our hub for pre- and post-vote election results coverage. You'll find election updates, battleground election results, race standings overview and more. Bookmark this page for tomorrow evening when the first results are available. We will work late into the morning and report the results in the following days. Bookmark the following pages to follow us as we report the results.
